Lena Waithe joins Westworld season 3 cast

Emmy winner Lena Waithe is joining Westworld season 3.

The writer-actor has been cast in the next season of HBO’s acclaimed sci-fi drama, EW has learned. There are no details yet about her role.

Waithe is the creator of Showtime’s The Chi, a writer on BET’s Boomerang and made history as the first black woman to win the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series due to her work on Netflix’s Master of None.

Waithe joins Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) as a newcomer to the show for season 3.

Westworld is currently filming and doesn’t currently have a release date (a 2020 premiere seems very likely).

Duet nobody expected

Will Kristen Bell & Evan Rachel Wood Sing a Duet in ‘Frozen 2’?

Evan Rachel Wood is teaming up with Kristen Bell for a mystery project and wait, what?

The Westworld actress, 31, appeared on a recent episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast, Armchair Expert, and confirmed that she recently worked with Bell…and it involved singing.

It all started when Shepard brought up Wood’s relationship with his wife, saying, “So, you and my wife are going to be in something soon, which is going to be a big, fun surprise.”

Shepard went on to explain that the new project will feature a duet by Bell and Wood. No, we’re not kidding.

Although Shepard revealed he doesn’t have the “musical background to make a qualified assessment,” he confirmed that Wood is a “real gangster singer.”

“I always say to my wife, I’m like, ‘She sounds damn good to me. Is she good?’ And she’s like, ‘Oh, she’s a f****** for real singer.’ Like Kristen thinks you’re a real gangster singer,” he added.

So, what is the mystery project? While neither gave any further details, all signs point to Frozen 2. Not only is Bell confirmed to reprise her role as Anna, but Wood is also set to appear in the highly anticipated sequel. And if it’s anything like the first soundtrack, the pair’s duet will surely be just as catchy as “Love Is an Open Door.”

For the first time in forever, we refuse to let it go. (Sorry, had to.)

Evan Rachel Wood Joins Pete Molinari For A Duet

“I don’t know of another artist like Pete out there right now. He is so timeless and an absolute pleasure to sing with. It’s nice to listen to songs that are poetic and actually tell a story and paint a picture, whether it’s beautiful or heartbreaking; he is one of those artists that paints pictures with his music really well.”
